Saturday Six: Thrifted

Each weekend, I’ll share six cool finds. All items are linked in the caption. Some links may be referral/curator links.

Hello and happy weekend! Is it just me, or do the short weeks somehow always feel the longest? Oh well–we made it, and I’m proud of us.

We’re planning to do some thrifting this weekend–we’re going to a Halloween rummage sale event today and our favorite flea market tomorrow (you can see what I bought last time here!). Since I decided to extend that to this week’s Saturday Six and do a roundup of some recent vintage tee finds on Etsy.

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! I would freak out if I found this Highlander shirt at the thrift. Available from VintageRockNRollShop on Etsy.

I stumbled upon this while trying to find a vintage Elvira tee. Those are all ridiculously expensive, but this one is cool (and more affordable!). Available from sideburns on Etsy.

I just finally purchased the Tales from the Crypt box set, and I can’t wait to binge watch them all this fall! Tee available from robineggsurprise on Etsy.

How cute is this Pilsbury Doughboy tee!? Available from TickiesTreasures on Etsy.

Love this rad ’80s skateboarding tee! THRASHIN. Available from ElevatedWeirdo.

Everyone needs at least one vintage ringer tee in their closet. I like this “Beach Bash ’85” one! Available from TCWonline on Etsy.

PS: Did you know my husband and I sell vintage clothing? We’re working on getting our shop revamped and have an event coming up later this month. Check us out at Sofa King Awesome Vintage.

Saturday Six: Just Do It

Each weekend, I’ll share six cool finds. These posts are not sponsored, but some links may be referral/curator links. Links on where to purchase are always included in the captions!

We recently stopped at an outlet mall, and I found myself resisting the urge to purchase everything at the Nike store. Whenever I go clothes shopping, I should really be building up my work wardrobe, but all I ever want to buy are sweatpants. The sweats at the Nike store felt SO insanely soft! Sadly I left empty handed, but here’s a roundup of a few things I’ve got my eye on…

I love the color of these rose gold joggers! Available from

Cute and comfortable: the best of both worlds. I could see myself lounging all day in this Nike sweatshirt dress. Available from

I love the colorblocking on these leggings! Great for working out, running errands, or just hanging around the house. Available from Kohls.

Are you noticing a trend in color here? I love pink but I’m drawn to everything gray! These look so comfortable! Available from

I’ve been dreaming about this jumpsuit since I spotted it at an outlet at the beginning of the summer. I keep waiting for it to go on sale. It feels so soft! Available from I also like the romper version and the sweatpants.

Here, enjoy some color. I love the retro vibe of these turquoise and black sweatpants. Can sweatpants qualify as workwear? Available from

Hope you have a great weekend!

Saturday Six: Ice Cream Dreams

Each weekend, I’ll share six cool finds. These posts are not sponsored, but some links may be referral/curator links. Links on where to purchase are always included in the captions!

Ice Cream Castle in the sky…

Hey friends! I thought I’d do one more summery Saturday Six before diving headfirst into Halloween. 🙂

I’ve got ice cream on the brain. The above image doesn’t really have anything to do with this post other than the fact that I love Morris Day and The Time and it’s a great album. Maybe listen to it and eat ice cream? Or check out this week’s picks!

This ice cream cone pin from Wildflower Co looks like a great addition to my denim jacket.

I saw this cute little pencil pouch at Target the other day and had to fight the urge to buy it. I can find a use for it, right? I also love these pens!

Speaking of Target, did you know they did a collaboration with the Museum of Ice Cream on a children’s clothing line? Why oh why couldn’t it be adult sized? I love everything! I think the closest I can get to purchasing is with these sprinkles and gummy bear socks.

Speaking of cute, I love this ice cream tee and leggings pajama set from ASOS!

I love this ice cream printed blouse from ModCloth! It’d be perfect for work!

These are out of my price range, but I can still dream. Rommy de Bommy makes the most amazing food-themed purses and jewelry, like this ice cream cone handbag. Check out her Etsy shop here!

I hope you’re eating some ice cream this weekend!

Saturday Six: Pinhead

Each weekend, I’ll share six cool finds. Some links may be referral/curator links.

Hi friends! What does everyone have going on this weekend? We’ve got some family stuff to do, but I’m also hoping to spend some time in our inflatable pool–it’s supposed to be in the 90s all weekend! We also finally started watching Sherlock (I know), so we’ll probably make some progress on that, although I’m having trouble staying up late enough to make it through an episode. I have been so tired this week! Hoping tomorrow I can sleep in and reset. I always want to catch up on sleep on the weekends, but then there’s also so much I want to try and do, that I end up waking up way too early (like right now).

For this week’s Saturday Six, I wanted to do a pin round-up. I love collecting pins (and subsequently, vests and denim jackets). It was hard to narrow it down, but here’s a few I’ve had my eye on lately!

I’m also going to apologize in advance, because I’m already getting excited for Halloween, so you can expect quite a few spooky Saturday Sixes coming your way soon. Actually, you know what? I’m not going to apologize. Let’s get weird!

How I feel about most things. “Meh” pin by Memento Mori Goods on Etsy.

I’ve had my eye on the “Cats Rule Everything Around Me” pins by Jenni’s Prints for a while, and now they’re on sale! I’ll have to get one of each, as we have a black cat and a white cat!

I mean… it’s PAUL HOLES! Another pin by Jenni’s Prints, plus 50% of proceeds go to End the Backlog!

I love Totoro, but the ’90s child in me is especially obsessed with this Totoro-themed Tamagotchi pin! I loved those and Giga Pets. Ah, back to the days when my biggest responsibility was remembering to clean up Tamagotchi poo. My Neighbor Totoro pin by OozyRanger on Etsy.

Proud to be a member of the Losers Club? Wear it on your sleeve (or your hat, or your label, etc.). Hopefully no killer clowns take interest. The Losers Club enamel pin by MolassesWave on Etsy.

In case you need a reminder (we all do sometimes). Let’s promise to each other to have no more bad days! We can do it. No Bad Days pin by

Saturday Six: Happy Camper

Each weekend, I’ll share six cool finds. Some links may be referral/curator links.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I love camping! We’ve done two camping trips so far this summer and have one coming up in a couple of weeks. I’ve also been feeling nostalgic for my summer camp days. I blame it on watching camp-themed movies. My love for camping and this post on Summer Camp Style by Say Yes inspired me to do my own camp-themed round-up. So pull out your friendship bracelets, find the marshmallows, hike up your shorts, and get ready for your own camping adventure!

I love an A frame! Get psyched for your camp out with this cute tee from Camp Brand Goods.

I’ve been looking for the perfect enamel mug, and I think I’ve finally found it! Now I’m dreaming of sitting by the fire and sipping coffee in this Happy Camper Mug from Camp Brand Goods.

Are you on the fanny pack train yet? I’m convinced I’ve brought them back (ha). I’ve been wearing them for years. They are so convenient for hiking or at events when you don’t want to lug around a purse. The Dope Dopp Kit by Poler looks perfect for adventuring.

These American Apparel Interlock Running Shorts are a true callback to ’70s camp days! If you’re sleeping on the ground, you might as well be comfortable.

Aside from dry shampoo, hats are your best friend while camping. I’m a fan of “dad” style hats (is that weird?). I like this plain black hat from Adidas, but if you can score a vintage trucker hat, even better.

Sitting at the top of my wishlist is this great tee from CAMP clothing. They have a lot of great retro-inspired items. I don’t think I need to explain why I love this tee.

Happy camping!
