Saturday Six: Six Albums I’m Listening To

Each weekend, I’ll share six cool finds. These posts are not sponsored, but some links may be referral/curator links. Links on where to purchase are always included in the captions!

Hi! I’m currently on the road for a week of vacation! I’m so excited to spend a week in the mountains and hopefully relax a bit. Posting might be sporadic this week, as I’ll be enjoying vacation and not worrying about a meal plan or my other usual posts!

Before I go, I thought I’d share some of the albums I’m listening to lately. I’ll be in the car a lot on this trip, so music is essential. Some are new and some are old favorites. I’d love to hear what you’re listening to right now, too! I’m always on the lookout for music recommendations.

mbd
Murder by Death’s new album, The Other Shore, came out yesterday!! I received the album early as part of my Kickstarter package and it has quickly become one of my favorites. My top tracks are “True Dark,” “Only Time,” “Space,” and “Bloom” (but they’re all great!). Listen on Spotify HERE!
dcfc
Have you heard the new Death Cab for Cutie album, Thank You for Today? I’m really enjoying it! Their songs are mellow, but I feel like this album is more upbeat (for them). It’s nice to listen to when I’m unwinding at the end of the day. Listen on Spotify here!
fidlar
I’ve been listening to Fidlar a lot lately. Both of their albums are really good! My favorite songs are probably “No Wave” and “West Coast.” They just put me in a good mood. I’m hoping to see them when they play Detroit in a couple weeks (anyone want to go!?). Listen on Spotify here!
devilmakesthree
I have to credit my husband for introducing me to The Devil Makes Three. Their album Do Wrong Right is a favorite for us when we’re on the road or camping. Listen on Spotify here! (They also have a new album out!)
macmiller
Any Mac Miller fans? I loved The Divine Feminine, and I’m loving Swimming. It’s good listening when you’re chilling out with your friends. Listen on Spotify here!
sublime
It’s a classic, sure, but Sublime’s 40 Oz. to Freedom is a staple in the summer. This will definitely get listened to at least once (if not more) on our drive! Listen on Spotify here!

I’m not sponsored by Spotify, I just love it! Ha.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Tell me: What are you listening to right now? What are your road trip picks?

Saturday Six: More Things I’m Loving Lately!

Each weekend, I’ll share six cool finds. Some links may be referral/curator links.

Hi everyone! I am SO happy it’s the weekend! More importantly, a three-day weekend. I have a lot I want to do this weekend, so hopefully we get to most of it! It’s supposed to be in the 90s, so I think a beach trip is in order! I’ve also been wanting to go shopping, so we talked about heading out to the outlet malls. My sister and I are going out to brunch and getting our auras read today, so I’m pretty excited about that, and I need to see Solo at some point! So, I’ll definitely stay busy this weekend, but I think it’ll be relaxing, too.

Me hanging with the Solo crew. Yes, I basically wear my pajamas to the movies.

Anyway! I wanted to share six more random things I’m loving lately. Hope you’ll share yours, too.

barry
Did you guys watch Barry on HBO? I loved it. I should probably have a picture of Bill Hader here, who is excellent, but Anthony Carrigan as Chechen mobster Noho Hank is just so wonderful. The season recently wrapped, so if you missed it, I highly recommend checking it out. (Image via HBO)

pacifica
I recently started double cleansing and tried using coconut oil as the first step to remove my makeup. Disaster. My face broke out terribly, but that has not been the case with this Coconut Dissolve Cleansing Oil by Pacifica. I love Pacifica because all of their products are vegan and cruelty-free. This oil not only removes my makeup without causing acne, but it smells like CAKE! Available from the Pacifica site; this link gets you 10% off your first order!

jamesbay
I’m a James Bay fan and am very much enjoying his newest release, Electric Light. It’s a bit different from his debut album, but that’s not a bad thing. It’s the perfect soundtrack to ease into your day. I particularly love the song Wanderlust. Listen to the album on Spotify.

camping
It’s camping season!! We just booked our first trip and are going to plan out some more this weekend. I love camping (if you can’t tell by my face in this picture). It’s just nice to be outdoors and disconnect for a few days!

brumi
I bought this Full Circle “Brumi” pour over mug a while back, and I absolutely love it. The best part is that it is suited to making hot OR cold brew! You insert the filter into the mug, add your water and grounds, and let it sit overnight. In the morning, you remove the filter and have delicious, cold brew coffee, without having to worry about all of the sifting. You can purchase on Amazon or the Full Circle site. I actually found mine on clearance at Target for half the price, so keep an eye out for deals!

beach
It kind of goes along with camping, but I’m so happy that it’s finally beach weather!! I love going to the beach. Give me a beer and a book and place me by the water and I’m going to have a great day. Maybe I’ll do a round-up of beach-themed items soon?

Saturday Six: Things I’m Loving Lately!

Each weekend, I’ll share six cool finds. Some links may be referral/curator links.

Hi friends! Happy Saturday! This week I wanted to share six things I’m loving lately.

tea1
I bought this tea at Trader Joe’s the other day, and it is DELIGHTFUL! It’s a mix of hibiscus, rosehips, lemongrass, peppermint, orange peel, lemon verbena, and wild cherry bark. The cherry flavor really comes through and is what sold me on trying this tea. It almost reminds me of fruit punch. It’s great for an after-lunch treat when you’re trying to avoid that  sugar crash. Highly recommend! (Image via Trader Joe’s)

oliviaholt
Call it my guilty pleasure, but I’m really into the song “Generous” by Olivia Holt. Listen on Spotify here.

bluetansy
I’ve been wanting to try Herbivore’s products, but they can be a little pricey. I was thrilled to find the True Blue duo, which gives you smaller sizes of the Blue Tansy mask and Lapis facial oil, for only $29. Individually, the items run $48 and $72, respectively! You only need to use a little bit of each item, so the sizes are large enough to last for some time. I haven’t noticed any improvements in acne with this mask, but my skin does feel really soft and smooth after using. At first I thought the scent was a little weird, but I’ve come to like it. This was also my first foray into using a facial oil, but it feels kind of luxurious to put it on after the mask. You can find the duo on Sephora or on the Herbivore site.

goodgirls
Is anyone else watching Good Girls on NBC? I am LOVING it! (Image via Variety)

katenash1
I love Kate Nash and have really been enjoying her new album, Yesterday Was Forever. I just bought a ticket to see her in a couple weeks, so I’m stoked! Listen to the new album on Spotify here. If you’ve never listened to her, I recommend checking out her first album, Made of Bricks, as well.

bandoplanner
I bought a ban.do planner a few months back and it was definitely a worthy purchase. It’s filled with cute little notes and illustrations and helps me manage my time. Unfortunately, it looks like all of the planners on their site are sold out! They’re planning a restock with new designs, so keep an eye on it.
